This summer, the Middle School Boys basketball players participated in a summer basketball league at the Golden Strip YMCA.

17 players participated, including some students from other schools in the area. Seven games over a 10 week period were played. Practices were mostly camp-oriented… working on fundamental skills, learning a few simple plays and defenses. And, oh yes- the three point shot contests.

This league was a great chance for a casual and fun environment to be experienced before a certainly rigorous winter season begins. Thanks to all those who participated, and we look forward to another fun summer of building GCA and its athletic program through basketball at the Golden Strip YMCA.
